Building a Foundation of Hope

As a non-profit, 501(c)3 charity, CVUCF provides victims and their families emotional and financial support, educational resources and guidance through the complex criminal justice and victim compensation systems.

CVUCF also offers educational seminars, monthly support groups, guidance in the parole hearing process, and memorial service support to victims’ families.

Programs

Teddy Bear Rooms — We dedicate much of our time to establishing “teddy bear” rooms in District Attorneys’ and Child Protective Services’ offices throughout California — giving young victims and children of victims a safe haven during the long and often painful criminal justice process. CVUCF accepts donations of new teddy bears throughout the year— and to date, has given out more than __ to comfort young victims and victims’ children.

Auburn Support Group – If you or someone you know has been a victim of crime, regardless of when the crime was committed or what type of crime, we invite you to join us for free support group meetings in Auburn sponsored by Crime Victims United in co-operation with the Placer County Victim Witness Program. Travel Assistance — We are the only group to offer financial assistance to victims’ families who must travel to other parts of the state, due to a change of venue, to attend criminal proceedings for a murdered loved one.

Scholarships — We offer two annual scholarships: The Catina Rose Scholarship assists young victims or victims’ children in fulfilling their educational dreams, and the Protect Scholarship rewards young people who are directing their energies in positive ways.

Victims Memorial — The Crime Victims Memorial Wall is a remembrance to the 325 victims of the 184 affirmed convicted killers currently on California’s Death Row. This portable, five-panel, faux-marble memorial is available for victims’ rights and public safety functions across the state.

Events

18th Annual Classic Cup Golf Tournament — Each Fall CVUCF hosts a golf tournament in Northern California to raise funds for its victims programs. Click here for the latest on our golf tournament.

Ride for Justice - For Kids, For Victims (Oct. 5 - 12) -- This epic cross-country motorcycle tour and raffle is designed to raise awareness and support for crime victims nationwide. Proceeds will help benefit the Crime Victims United Charitable Foundation, and other worthwhile causes. Click here for information/poster.
